Could you lower your electric bill?
New Mexico has a program that may reduce the cost of the electricity you buy each month.
Customers with an eligible electric account may qualify. Rural electric cooperative and municipal utility customers are not eligible under this program.

The standard 10% discount and the income-qualified 28% discount apply to the value of solar bill credits, not the entire electric bill. The bill-level percentages are estimates; actual savings depend on qualification, electricity usage, the credits applied, and project availability.

3.Solscribe bills you for that electricity at a lower rate.

What is this program?
Community solar—without panels on your roof
Community solar lets several households benefit from electricity produced by a shared solar project. You do not install equipment, replace your utility, or change how electricity reaches your home.
Most people will not notice any difference at home. The change appears on the billing side, where program credits and discounted electricity create the savings.

What people usually want to know
Do I need solar panels?
No. Nothing is installed on your home.
Will my electricity be interrupted?
No. Your utility continues delivering electricity just as it does now.
Will I receive more than one bill?
Yes. Your utility continues sending its bill, which includes the program credits. Solscribe sends a separate bill for the discounted electricity associated with those credits.
How long is the commitment?
The initial term is one year, and it renews automatically for one year at a time. Your subscription rate is fixed for the first five years.
Can the rate change after five years?
Any rate change after the first five years requires at least 60 days' written notice. You then have 30 days to leave at no cost.
Is there a termination fee?
No. There is never a termination fee.
Does checking commit me to anything?
No. Checking whether the program may work for your household is free.
